Brother HL-2130 offers the capabilities and reliability of monochrome laser printers at affordable prices. Its compact physical form is intended for users who need rushing print devices. This device is able to print more than inkjet printers.
Various saving features have been adopted this device. One is toner saving that saves toner usage (especially when only used for printing text-based documents). Similarly, the choice of paper saving that provides a choice of print N in 1 or print multiple pages in 1 sheet. Not to forget there is a duplex feature to print back and forth.
Because laser printers use a large amount of electrical power, Brother will lower the power usage of the device when it is not in use. Automatically, the device will be in a "sleep" (idle) position after a few minutes of inactivity. Well, in this position the power usage will go down so it is more efficient. If the print position is used up to 421 watts of power, in idle position this power is needed in the range of 0.8 watts only.

On the front panel there are four indicator lights from Toner, Drum, Error, and Ready which each have their own meaning. Fortunately, there is clear information about the functionality of each indicator to facilitate the detection or monitoring of device activity.
Like the laser printer, the ability to print this device in terms of time speed no doubt. To print standard text-based documents, it only takes about 8 seconds (if done not in idle state). When the position is idle, the device takes time to "wake up" for about 10 seconds.
Brother gives you different options if you want to print text or image-based documents. Text options are recommended for printing text-based documents, while the Graphics option can be selected if you want to print an image or graphics-based document. Unfortunately when we tested, there was little difference between the two. This is because the print quality of Graphics is only improved slightly so the results are not significant.
