Ergonomics
The new Kodak Alaris S2000 series enhances productivity by automating much of the work typically performed by users and computers running the scanner. Image processing built into the scanner delivers crisp images without the need for a powerful (or expensive) host computer. Innovative Active Feed technology prevents double-feed errors and paper jams, and also controls the stacking of documents at the output to ensure that paper is placed carefully in the output tray. As a result, users save time not only on document input but also on document output, thanks to neat document stacks.
Features
The Kodak Alaris S2040 is a USB-connected model with a scanning speed of 40 pages per minute (ppm). The scanner is compact, powerful and easy to use, with a reliable feed system that efficiently handles a wide range of documents.
Three optional flatbed display panels can be integrated into the scanners for increased versatility and productivity. For example, the S2000 series is designed to 'house' the new Alaris Passport flatbed scanning accessory, offering a quick and easy solution for scanning passports, ID cards and other small, fragile documents.
Performance
The Kodak Alaris S2040 is capable of handling an average of up to 5,000 pages per day, thanks to its 40 ppm scanning speed and 80-sheet A4 paper capacity. To ensure optimum paper pick-up, the Kodak Alaris S2040 is equipped with an ultrasonic dual-feed sensor and a document alignment system before scanning.
