Positioning
Dell is positioning the Inspiron 7790 as a monoblock for home use. Although, when I look at its elegant appearance, I immediately draw a reception in some expensive medical or business center. But in fact, this is a really great basic computer for the home.
It is optimally suited for watching videos: it has an excellent screen and very good sound (the manufacturer supplied two speakers of 6 W each).
The abundance of RAM (16 GB) is needed for the Internet. A tenth generation processor from Intel and graphics from Nvidia are suitable for simple photo / video processing, as well as for calculations related to study / work.

Monoblocks are not computers for everyone. In my opinion, this is a great option for students. Will not carry a computer to bed or stick on the couch. Create an idea of the workplace.
Another option is a second computer for those who are too lazy to bother. For travel and walks there is a laptop, and for home - a candy bar. The advantage of a monoblock over a desktop computer is that it is compact, takes up only one outlet, and is also more portable. With a weight of 10 kilos, it can be easily moved from one room to another. With a desktop computer, you won't bother.
Appearance
The new generation of Inspiron is no less prettier than Moscow under Sobyanin. Devices have become much thinner and more elegant.

Port selection is excellent. There are three high-speed USB 3.1. Standard USB 2.0 will take the stick from the included wireless keyboard. I have only one claim. In the previous generation, if I'm not mistaken, the usual USB, Type-C and a card reader were located on one of the sides. Thus, it was possible to use them, as they say, blindly. This will not work in the new generation.
Screen, sound and webcam
The monoblock has a 27-inch screen. It is matte, which means it has an anti-reflective coating.

The screen has 100% sRGB coverage, and the brightness matches the claimed 250 nits. This is enough for home use, and since the screen is matte, you can safely use it even in direct sunlight. I know what I'm saying. My house is located so that in the afternoon the sun hits directly through the window.
The monoblock has a traditional image enhancer from Dell - Dell Cinema. These are built-in color profiles (Dell Color Profiles) that make the image brighter and more saturated. And this thing works. Watching movies and Netflix is very cool.
Dell Cinema also includes CinemaStream, which is an algorithm that optimizes online viewing. For example, you download a file and watch a video. The algorithm understands this and prioritizes video traffic, meaning there will be no buffering when waiting for downloads.
