The CANON iR ADV DX-C257 is a compact A4 colour multifunctional system from the imageRunner ADVANCE DX series from the manufacturer Canon. The DX-C257 is suitable for small workgroups of 1 - 5 people with an average monthly print volume of 1000 - 3000 pages. It is the counterpart to the CANON iR ADV DX-C357 and differs in its reduced print speed of 25 pages per minute compared to the 35 pages per minute of the DX-C357.
The output time of the first A4 b/w copy of the CANON iR ADV DX-C257 is 6.9 seconds. You operate the system and control the copy functions via the 25.7 cm TFT LCD WSVGA colour touch screen. This includes, for example, selecting the type of original and the zoom levels. Magnification is possible from 25% to 400% and is graduated in 1% steps. The document feeder has a paper capacity of 100 sheets and automatically skips empty pages. In the standard version, the system is equipped with a 650-sheet paper cassette and a 100-sheet multipurpose feeder. Optionally, this can be extended by a 550-sheet paper cassette. This allows this MFP to be upgraded to a maximum paper capacity of 2,300 sheets. Finishing functions such as document sorting and collating are integrated as standard. With the optional finisher, the print results can be staggered and even stapled.
