Huawei: notebook MateBook D 16
Huawei has launched a new addition to its MateBook series notebook family on the Czech market. The D 16 model attracts users with its high performance, 16-inch display with 16:10 aspect ratio, attractive design and full numeric keypad.
The portable computer with its aluminum alloy construction weighs 1.7 kg and is therefore suitable for frequent carrying, which is also underlined by its thickness of 18.4 mm.
With the MateBook D 16, Huawei is responding to the growing trend of working from home and outside the office in general. The new product therefore brings a large 16″ FullView display with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:10. Users will also be delighted with the thin bezels that allow the display to cover up to 90% of the top of the computer. This ensures maximum comfort both when working and watching movies. The MateBook D16 also features TÜV Rheinland-certified Eye Comfort technology, which not only reduces blue light, but also gives the user more realistic colours and does not cause a yellow tint, so viewing content on the display remains pleasant even after a long time. At the same time, the display can adapt to the current lighting conditions to avoid eye strain.
At the heart of the new MateBook D 16 is the 12th generation Intel Core i5-12450H processor. The all-new hybrid architecture and 14 cores (six "performance" and eight "efficiency") can handle even the most demanding tasks. Depending on your choice of model, 8 or 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of NVMe PCIe SSD are available.
(Especially) when working, customers will appreciate the numeric keypad, which was used for the first time in a Huawei laptop. In addition to the numeric keypad, the MateBook D 16 has one more novelty, which is the all-metal antenna. This improves signal conversion efficiency by up to 56%, which improves network stability and speed even in weak signal conditions.
A 1,080p camera with a wide field of view also comes in handy for video calls. The camera is complemented by microphones with active ambient noise cancellation and artificial intelligence algorithms, such as dynamic virtual background or FollowCam and Eye Contact functions that improve transmission quality.
Power is supplied by a 60Wh battery. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11ax (2.4 and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.1. If necessary, the computer can be secured via a fingerprint reader, which the manufacturer has placed in the on/off button.

The laptop is available from 21 August 2022 for prices of CZK 18,999 (8 GB RAM) and CZK 20,999 (16 GB RAM).
