The Dell XPS 8940 is available on both Dell and Amazon websites, although Amazon limits the configurations you can purchase. Pricing and configurations on Amazon will vary greatly over time, as Amazon doesn't differentiate much between the models it sells and the models it allows third-party sellers to sign up for.
On the one hand, the Dell website lets you customize your Dell XPS 8940 with a variety of different options, from CPU to GPU to wireless card.
