It's very surprising because according to a survey in America, 90% of professional photographers use Adobe Lightroom for photo editing, and only 10% are using Adobe Photoshop. Whereas if seemed to reverse, probably more extreme again i.e. 95% wear Photoshop and only 5% wear of Lightroom.
Why I choose to use Adobe Lightroom 3?
Many of the reasons that made me love the Lightroom, some of which are:
1. More efficient and time-saving power of aliases
Each of us is doing photography well time streets or event, we usually take photos in a number of quite a lot, sometimes it could be tens even hundreds of photos, hence software that can edit images with much needed fast. Using Lightroom, we need not repot2 opened many photographs and edit the one on one like in Photoshop. We can monitor many photos at once, select a photo and edit it.2. Interface more suited for photographers
Adobe Lightroom interface more suitable for the photographer, an example is the arrangement of dark light, color, control noise, crop and others easier to reach and use than in Adobe Photoshop. Many options are available to prepare for the photos, we can arrange the size and resolution of the image, and also can create watermarks with ease.3. Quite feature rich and mighty
Adobe lightroom not only to set the dark light, contrast, color, sharpening, but also there is a very helpful function like spot removal to clean spots disturbing as acne on the face, and the most good is adjustment brush to edit only the portion of the area of the photo only.4. Tethered shooting
With Adobe Lightroom, we can connect the camera and computer with the USB cable, and then the pictures taken the camera will go into Adobe Lightroom automatically. This is a great help for photographers working in the studio, because by looking at the image directly on the screen of the monitor, they can be viewed with detail the results of the photo.5. Non-destructive editing
Lightroom records all the steps done us in image editing, so if we turned out to be less satisfied will the end result photo, we can go back to the previous steps with ease.6. File Management
In addition to editing, Lightroom is also very helpful in terms of file management. We can arrange and classify photos of us in categories or add tags, keywords (keywords) on a group or a photograph. So when we want to find a particular photo, Lightroom can help us quickly find the photos that we seek.What can not be done in Lightroom?
For photo manipulation such as changing the background, make a montage of photos, change their photos with effects that are not real we still have to keep using Photoshop.
However, I think Adobe Lightroom software is mandatory when we often photos. So the importance of this software makes me designing a special one-day workshop on photo management and editing with Adobe Lightroom.
